living in the alps

minimal meets traditional

The restoration of this 1898 top-floor apartment in Obermais focused on uncovering original beams and historic details hidden beneath later renovations. The design contrasts old and new through larch wood and gray microcement floors, exposed structures, seamless doors, and a minimal black kitchen beside a tiled stove. The 150 m² home includes a bright living area, two bedrooms, and a master suite that merges bedroom and bathroom with light partitions. A restrained palette and a mix of contemporary pieces and antiques complete a balanced dialogue between heritage and modernity.
